Treasury bill yield up in 12-months, 3-months rejected

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s 12-month Treasury bill yields rose 06 basis point to 8.58 percent at Tuesday’s auction while 3-month bills were rejected, date from the state debt office showed.
The six-month yield was flat at 8.13 percent, with the debt office selling 3.35 billion rupees of bills, less than the 5.0 billion offered.
The debt office instead took 21.64 billion rupees of 12-month bills at an 8.58 percent weighted average yield to raise a total of 25 billion rupees.
At the last auction 3-month bills were accepted at 7.50 percent, which is the overnight rate. (Colombo/Jan14/2020)
